Pieno Zvaigzdes sign Kosovo international Shoshi, bring back Olisevicius
Having fallen into a minor mid-season slump, Pieno Zvaigzdes have decided to reshuffle their deck by signing Kosovo international Lis Shoshi from Sigal Prishtina and bringing back Osvaldas Olisevicius from Germany.
The pair will be replacing Ryan Anderson and Julius Kazakauskas, whose time in Pasvalys has run its course. The team decided not to keep Anderson after a trial period, while the contract with Kazakauskas was terminated by mutual agreement.
The 23-year-old Shoshi represented Kosovo in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers and had a strong game against Lithuania in November, collecting 10 points, 4 rebounds and a pair of blocks.
The big man registered an even better performance in the other game against Hungary, posting a 16-point and 11-rebound double-double.
Olisevicius has played for Pieno Zvaigzdes for three seasons in the past and will be a familiar face for basketball fans in Pasvalys. He was one of the key players last season, averging 12.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
The Pasvalys side are currently in a four-way tie for fifth place in the Betsafe LKL with a 6-11 record after losing the last three games.
