Lietkabelis guard Williams claims Player of the Week honors
Lorenzo Williams snatched up Betsafe LKL Player of the Week honors after guiding Lietkabelis to a 94-83 victory against Siauliai on Saturday by registering his best game in Lithuania.
The 33-year-old point guard scored 24 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, dished out 6 assists and came away with 3 steals for an overall efficiency of 34, the best mark this week.
It has been a rather quiet season for Williams in Panevezys, with the American guard averaging 6.4 points and 5.2 assists per game.
Zalgiris duo Beno Udrih and Edgaras Ulanovas also made the Team of the Week despite limited playing time in a 118-96 blowout win against Vytautas.
Vyacheslav Bobrov continued his strong play for Pieno Zvaigzdes with an 18-point performance in an 87-83 upset against Neptunas, while Juventus big man Mindaugas Kupsas filled the center spot after posting 18 points in a losing effort against Dzukija.
