Betsafe LKL standings are shaping this season‘s leaders.
6 games in to the new season Rytas Vilnius still holds the undefeated trophy but Zalgiris Kaunas is hot on Rytas tail.
Next Sunday these two Betsafe LKL leaders will meet in Vilnius. Preparation for this game was excellent for both of them.
Rytas once again put up spectacular offensive numbers. Andrew Goudelock, Demetrius Jackson and Co. are just too strong at the moment and crushed Neptunas Klaipeda 98:60 on away territory.
Neptunas had a promising start to the season but their form is changing not in a good away. 2 wins and 4 losses is not the result expected in Klaipeda.
Zalgiris Kaunas also won their game with ease. Marek Blazevic had a debut to remember with 13 points in 17 minutes and Zalgiris won 84:63 at home against Juventus Utena.
Fastly climbing up the standings are Lietkabelis Panevezys. A moment to forget was the start of the season with 2 losses.
Lietkabelis now has 4 wins in a row. The most recent – win at home 101:76 against Siauliai. This game was Paulius Valinskas show. Lithuanian shooting guard put up 22 points and 9 rebounds.
Lietkabelis and Juventus are now tied at 3rd-4th places.
While Siauliai are still trying to figure their problems out. 6 rounds – 6 losses. Newest additions of Gediminas Orelikas and Mindaugas Lukauskis may help Siauliai win some games.
Very important 6 round battle took place in Kedainiai where Nevezis hosted CBet Prienai. In a high scoring game Nevezis won 92:88. This win may have a major impact in the end of the season when the team seeding will be decided.
Nevezis climbed over CBet in the standings and now are 5th while their opponents 6th.
Another round 6 battle is still to be played. On Monday Dzukija Alytus will host Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys.
Will Juventus Utena prove their ambitions against Lietkabelis Panevezys? Will Rytas Vilnius remain undefeated after their derby against Zalgiris Kaunas? Do not forget to tune in Betsafe LKL next weekend to figure out these questions.
