Lietkabelis ends Zalgiris' 16 games winning streak

Zalgiris Kaunas amazing 16 games winning streak came to an end. Lietkabelis Panevezys became the first Betsafe LKL team to defeat Zalgiris 82:73.

Lietkabelis ran away from the visitors after 14:4 run in the second quarter - 37:26.

Kaunas' side came back after the halftime (46:48) but Lietkabelis made another 10:0 run and got their double digit lead back 58:46. 

Zalgiris could not make another come back and was forced to deal with the first loss of the season.

Ex-Zalgiris players Tomas Dimsa and Paulius Valinskas scored 21 point each. Dimsa also added six assists. 

Sintek-Dzukija Alytus survived another close game and 73:71 defeated Siauliai. Alytus' side recorded sixth win of the season.

It helped Sintek-Dzukija to jump to seventh place in the standings.

Juventus Utena played great fourth quarter and 84:72 defeated Pieno zvaigzdes Pasvalys.

Juventus made six threes in the last period that ended with comfortable lead 29:12. 

Juventus recorded second win against Pieno zvaigzdes this season and ninth in total.
