Rytas Vilnius decided to bring Evaldas Kairys back. 28-years-old centre started last season in Vilnius but injured his shoulder in December and missed the reminder of the season.

Rytas sports director Linas Kleiza told that Kairys was one of the head coach Dainius Adomaitis choices.

"Last season Kairys played very well, but he got hurt. It is important that he was with us last year, so he knows our playbook. There is not much time left until the start of the season so it will be a lot easier for him to join the team", told Kleiza.

Kleiza also announced that Vilnius' youngster Marek Blazevic is going to receive a lot more playing time. "I think we will have a great rotation in this position. We will be able to adjust to any situation and we will be able to choose from Martynas Echodas, Cameron Bairstow, Marek Blazevic and Evaldas Kairys."

Before the injury Kairys averaged 7,4 points, 4,1 rebounds and 1,3 blocks per game in EuroCup. In LKL Kairys averaged 7,3 points and 3,7 rebounds.
