Siauliai catch fire to hand Pieno Zvaigzdes another defeat

Siauliai took another step towards avoiding finishing last in the Betsafe LKL with an impressive 111-97 win over Pieno Zvaigzdes in a high-scoring contest, which moved their marker to 6-24.

Having set a new Betsafe LKL season high in scoring, the Antanas Sireika-coached side increased their advantage over the last-placed Nevezis to two games.

Arminas Urbutis and Kristupas Zemaitis paced the victors with 17 points apiece, Evaldas Saulys scored 16 points and dished out 7 assists, while five more Siauliai players entered the double-digit territory.

For Pieno Zvaigzdes, Yannick Franke was the top scorer with 24 points, while the trio of Vytautas Sulskis, Jay Threatt and Tomas Lekunas chipped in with 16 points each.
