Lietkabelis come back to defeat Dzukija in OT
Lietkabelis turned around a second-half double-digit deficit in Alytus to pick off Dzukija 87-84 in overtime, maintaining their grip on fourth place in the Betsafe LKL standings with an 18-11 record.
The visitors from Panevezys trailed by as many as 12 points in the third quarter before coming back to force the game in the overtime with a partial score of 22-14 in the last period of regulation time.
Ike Iroegbu was the top scorer for Lietkabelis with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists, Saulius Kulvietis collected 18 points on 4-of-7 shooting from three-point range, while Paulius Valinskas scored 15 points and dished out 5 assists.
For Dzukija, Paulius Petrilevicius and Kerem Kanter had 16 points apiece, the latter completing his double-double with 11 rebounds. Dominykas Domarkas chipped in with 14 points and 6 assists, but the Alytus club dropped to 9-20.
