Kanter sets new efficiency record, named Betsafe LKL Player of the Week

After a couple of slow weeks in the Betsafe LKL, Dzukija big man Kerem Kanter recaptured the spotlight by setting a new season record for efficiency and claiming the Player of the Week honors.

The 23-year-old player from Turkey scored 35 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a 110-97 victory over Siauliai for an efficiency of 41. The previous season-high of 40 was co-owned by Neptunas guard Lorenzo Williams and Kanter himself.

In the week's other game, Kanter collected 5 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in a close-fought 84-77 loss against one of the league's frontrunners Rytas.

The remaining spots on the Team of the Week were filled by his Dzukija teammate Dominykas Domarkas, Arturas Milaknis of Zalgiris, Rytas forward Eimantas Bendzius and Arminas Urbutis of Siauliai.
