Lietkabelis hand Nevezis sixth straight loss

Nevezis was no match for visiting Lietkabelis in their Betsafe-LKL matchup, losing 68-83 after a one-sided affair.

Lietkabelis have shown great form recently, defeating Rytas just a couple days earlier. They have now tied the Vilnius side for victories with 9 wins and 4 losses to their name. Nevezis continue to struggle and barely keep their heads above relegation waters, as they stand 9th with a 2-11 record.

The visitors set themselves up for an easy finish with a terrific start to the game, jumping ahead 24-10 after the opening quarter. Lietkabelis pushed the lead to to 23 before the halftime break and cruised to victory.

Ziga Dimec and Stefan Sinovec were the two leading scorers for Lietkabelis, dropping 15 points apiece. Jamar Wilson filled up the stat-sheet with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals, while Marko Cakarevic and Simas Jasaitis ended up dropping 10 each.

For Nevezis, it was Chauncey Collins carrying the offensive load, as he dropped 25 points and dished out 5 assists. Nikita Balashov scored 12, while Martynas Varnas, Gintautas Matulis and Valdas Vasylius ended up with 9 each.
