Eimantas Bendzius and Evaldas Kairys are coming back to Vilnius, as Betsafe LKL runners-up Rytas officially announced having signed the two players, who have both represented the club in the past, to long-term deals

The 28-year-old forward Bendzius last played for the team in the 2013-14 before moving to Spain via Poland. Bendzius spent the last three seasons in Obradoiro, where he put up 11.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in the Liga Endesa.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old center Kairys became the youngest player to represent Rytas, having made his professional debut at the club as a 16-year-old, but never became a full-time member of the team. Kairys has spent the last three seasons in Turkey, where he represented Muratbey Usak Sportif and Demir Insaat.

The pair are familiar with the newly-appointed Rytas coach Dainius Adomaitis from the national team, as both players were part of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers squad.

"Bendzius can play in two positions and his versatily is very important for us. He's a modern power forward. He proved that he's ready to take the next step and can still improve," said  Adomaitis. " Kairys is a five man with specific qualities that we were looking for in a center on both ends of the floor."
