Lietkabelis start bronze-medal series with a win

Lietkabelis got off to a positive start in the Betsafe LKL bronze-medal series, defeating Neptunas 83-69 in Game 1 of the best-of-five series and stealing home court advantage.

The visitors from Panevezys were carried by Darjus Lavrinovic, who scored 19 points and set a new personal season-high in efficiency with an index of 30, as Lietkabelis dominated from start to finish.

Dominik Mavra collected 14 points, Donatas Tarolis chipped in with 11, while Ksistof Lavrinovic and Zanis Peiners chipped in with 10 points apiece.

Meanwhile, Edgaras Zelionis had a team-high 15 points and 6 rebounds, Tomas Delininkaitis went 11-for-11 from the free-throw line and added 14 points, with Brandon Fields adding 12.
