Zalgiris down Lietkabelis in Game 1 of Semi-Finals

The first-seeded Zalgiris side did not drop the ball at the start of the Betsafe LKL Semi-Finals, overcoming tough opposition from Lietkabelis and registering a 93-69 victory in in the first game of the series on Tuesday.

After a close-fought first half of the game, the Kaunas club pulled away in third quarter and finished their business with elite defensive in the final frame of the contest.

Brandon Davies was the top scorer for Zalgiris with 14 points and 7 rebounds, Aaron White collected 13 points and 5 boards, while Edgaras Ulanovas finished the game with 11 points.

Meanwhile, Zanis Peiners was the only Lietkabelis player in double figures with 22 points. Darjus Lavrinovic collected 9 points and Donatas Tarolis got his tally up to 8 points and 7 rebounds.

The second game of the series will be played in Panevezys on Thursday.
