Eight Betsafe LKL players called up to represent Lithuania

There are eight Betsafe LKL players on Lithuania's squad for the upcoming games in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers against Hungary and Kosovo.

The head coach of the national team, Dainius Adomaitis, named his 14-man lineup for the February international window featuring players from four different Lithuanian clubs.

Excellent play in the Betsafe LKL earned a maiden call-ups for Neptunas big man Edgaras Zelionis and Lietuvos Rytas prospect Martynas Echodas, with other Lithuania-based players already featured in November.

National team call-ups were extended to:

Mindaugas Girdziunas, Rokas Giedraitis, Martynas Echodas (Lietuvos Rytas)

Renaldas Seibutis, Edgaras Zelionis (Neptunas)

Ksistof Lavrinovic, Vaidas Cepukaitis (Lietkabelis)

Laurynas Birutis (Siauliai)

After winning the first two qualification games agaisnt Kosovo and Polad in November, Lithuania sit atop the Group C standings with a 2-0 record.
