Dzukija come out on top in mid-table clash against Pieno Zvaigzdes

Dzukija ended their four-game losing streak in the Betsafe LKL, registering an 85-76 victory against Pieno Zvaigzdes at home in Alytus on the lone Monday game in the league.

The Nikola Vasilev-coached side celebrated a win for the first time in a month to improve to a 6-9 mark and catch the fifth-place Pasvalys club in the standings with identical records.

Paulius Petrilevicius registered a 19-point and 10-rebound double-double in the win, the team's captain Gediminas Navickas collected 15 points and 6 boards, while newcomer Povilas Cukinas also had a strong performance with 14 points and 7 rebounds in 24 minutes of action off the bench.

For Pieno Zvaigzdes, Tomas Lekunas scored a team-high 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting, while backcourt partners Trevon Hughes and Arturs Ausejs each collected 11 points apiece.
