Kupsas collects Player of the Week award
Mindaugas Kupsas helped Juventus push the poor start of the season further even further in the rear-view mirror by leading the Utena side to their third win in the Betsafe LKL in the past four games.
The 26-year-old center snatched up the Player of the Week honors after scoring 25 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in a 92-79 win over Dzukija, collecting a career-high efficiency ranking of 36.
Having converted 8-of-14 shots from the field and 9-of-11 from the free-throw line, Kupsas was an unstoppable mystery for the opponents, who used nine fouls in their attempts to stop him.
"I'm happy that my personal performance helped us get the win. Just like any other victory, it means a lot for our team, as we want to bounce back after a poor start of the season," the player spoke.

Siauliai guard Evaldas Saulys was second in terms of efficiency this week with 33 after collecting 27 points and 5 rebounds in a 104-95 win over Pieno Zvaigzdes to end an eight game drought for the Antanas Sireika-coached side.
Eigirdas Zukauskas of Vytautas, Neptunas big man Juan Palacios and Katin Reinhardt of Dzukija rounded out the Team of the Week with solid individual displays as well.
