Semifinal Schedule Locked In as Juvents Defies the Odds against BCL Champions

The LKL sponsored by Betsson playoffs have have officially reached the semifinal stage, with four teams left standing in the fierce battle for the championship crown: Žalgiris Kaunas, Lietkabelis Panevėžys, Neptūnas Klaipėda, and Juventus Utena.

In a dominant and sweeping fashion, every single advancing team dismantled their quarterfinal matchups, dispatching their opponents with clean 2-0 series victories.

However, the road to the final four was anything but ordinary. Both Lietkabelis and Juventus defied the odds, punching their tickets to the next round from lower-seeded positions than their opponents. But while Lietkabelis’ progression showcased their trademark grit, it was Juventus who authored the absolute shocker of the tournament. In what can only be described as a monumental sensation, the Utena squad pulled off a historic upset by dethroning the reigning Basketball Champions League winners, Vilnius Rytas, completely tearing up the pre-match script.

The action resumes on May 26 with the first semifinal matchup between powerhouse Žalgiris and underdogs Lietkabelis. The second series tips off on May 27, featuring a high-stakes showdown between Neptūnas and the sensational Juventus.

The semifinal series will follow a best-of-five format. If both matchups are decided in clean sweeps, the semifinals will wrap up by June 1. However, if the battles go the distance and require all five games, the fight for a spot in the finals could stretch until June 5.
