First Semifinal Matchup Locked In

Following the conclusion of two quarterfinal series on Friday evening, the first semifinal matchup of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) sponsored by Betsson has been officially confirmed.

Battling it out for a coveted spot in the finals will be Žalgiris Kaunas and Lietkabelis Panevėžys. Both powerhouse clubs swept their quarterfinal opponents 2-0, dispatching Jonava Hipocredit and Šiauliai respectively.

The official start date for the semifinal stage hinges on the outcomes of the remaining series, with Game 2s scheduled for Saturday. If Juventus Utena and Neptūnas Klaipėda manage to defeat their opponents once again, the semifinals will tip off as early as Tuesday. However, if a deciding Game 3 is required in either of those quarterfinal series, the semifinal round will commence on Wednesday.

The semifinal stage will be contested in a best-of-five format.
