Rytas survives a 5-game semifinal series against Wolves Twinsbet, Žalgiris sweeps 7bet-Lietkabelis
Betsafe-LKL playoffs have reached the peak of tension as the semifinals are in the books. LKL.lt together with Scorestars presents you a short overview of both semifinal series.
Žalgiris Kaunas swept 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevėžys 3-0. The second game in Panevėžys was as intesnse as it gets but in a chaotic ending Žalgiris won 90-89. In the third game Žalgiris went back to Kaunas to close out the series and they won once again but the victory had a high cost. Keenan Evans suffered a knee injury that ended not only this season for him but possibly the upcoming 8 months of basketball as well.
The Vilnius derby semifinal series between Rytas Vilnius and Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius was a roller coaster ride from the beginning. Wolves won the first game but then suffered two powerful blows and faced elimination in game 4. They managed to even out the series 2-2 but the decisive game belonged to Rytas who was in front for most of the game and finally triumphed 3-2 to advance to the Betsafe-LKL finals.
