Ebo with a triple-double, Sulaimon sinks in a game-winner in Klaipėda, Uniclub Casino – Juventus secures homecourt advantage
In only two days, another round of Betsafe-LKL basketball has ended. Together with Scorestars, league’s official fantasy basketball platform, we give you the brief overview of the last few days.
CBet Jonava bounced back in Pasvalys after a tough period. The away team cruised past Pieno žvaigždės 116-77 to get into a better position before the playoffs. CBet also clinched at least 8th spot since Nevėžis-Optibet Kėdainiai lost all the chances to catch the playoffs train.
Despite falling 78-102 to Žalgiris Kaunas, Nevėžis-Optibet had something to be proud of. Amit Ebo, who was recently acknowledged as the MVP of April, had himself a night to remember. The Israeli guard recorded a triple-double with 20 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. This is the 12th triple-double in league’s history.
Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius found themselves trailing double-digits against Neptūnas Klaipėda for most of the game but Rasheed Sulaimon took the matter in his own hand in fourth quarter. In the last minute the American guard made two three-pointers, one of which proved to be the dagger into the hears of Neptūnas fans, 86-85.
Uniclub Casino – Juventus Utena clinched the 4th place in the standings and homecourt advantage in the quarterfinals series as the team managed to get a 88-78 win in a matchup against Rytas Vilnius, a team that lost the remaining chances to overtake Žalgiris in the 1st place of the standings.
With one week to go in Betsafe-LKL regular season the 1st to 4th places are already determined, while 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevėžys and Neptūnas are still fighting for the 5th spot and CBet and M Basket-Delamode Mažeikiai are pursuing for the 7th position.
