Rytas defends homecourt against 7bet-Lietkabelis, M Basket-Delamode finally victorious

After the sixth week of Betsafe-LKL two teams remain unbeaten, while two teams are also still seeking their first success this year.

Pieno žvaigždės Pasvalys (0/6) couldn‘t break the losing streak at home as they lost it 75-85 to Uniclub Casino – Juventus Utena (5/1).

CBet Jonava (4/2) suffered a second loss in a row. In the rematch of last year‘s Betsafe-LKL quarterfinal CBet were in front at the beginning of the fourth quarter but Wolves Vilnius (5/1) managed to change the course of action to snatch a 83-71 win.

Žalgiris Kaunas (6/0) got another win on the road as they beat Nevėžis-Optibet Kėdainiai (0/6) in a surprisingly close battle - 76-70. The champions were led by Lukas Lekavičius who scored 21 point.

On Sunday for the first time in this season the medalists of last year met each other on the hardwood of Jeep arena. Rytas Vilnius (6/0) put up a great second half to beat 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevėžys (4/2) - 94-73.

Gargždai (2/4) got their second straight win (97-79) against Šiauliai (1/5) with a spectacular performance by the two newcomers. Nicholas Ward went for 28 points, 5 rebounds and 25 efficiency points and Ryan Larson scored 16 points along with 12 assists and 31 efficiency point.

Finally, on Monday, M Basket-Delamode (1/5) ended their struggle with a 87-84 road victory against Neptūnas Klaipėda (2/4). On the contrary, M Basket-Delamode lost Daniel Dolenc who suffered a right knee injury and left the game on stretchers.
