CBet with a miraculous comeback in Pasvalys, Žalgiris survives another thriller

The fourth week of Betsafe-LKL has finished with a few memorable contests once again.

On Saturday Rytas Vilnius (4/0) overcame the challenge of Šiauliai (1/3) with a 91-78 win. 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevėžys (3/1) also defended their homecourt against winless Gargždai (0/4) with a 84-66 victory.

Sunday was an unfortunate day for home teams who both lost in diferrent ways. Neptūnas Klaipėda (1/3) didn‘t stand a chance against Wolves Vilnius (4/0). Wolves snatched a 98-66 win.

The other battle was one for the ages. Pieno žvaigždės Pasvalys (0/4) were up double-digits with few minutes remaining but Virginijus Šeškus‘s CBet Jonava (4/0) managed to perform yet another miracle. They were down 87:92 with only 5 seconds left on the gameclock. However, Nojus Mineikis banked in a three-pointer and Jordan Watson then commited two fatal fouls against Mike Lewis. CBet guard made three free throws to give his team a 93-92 away win to stay unbeaten in this year‘s campaign.

On Monday Uniclub Casino – Juventus Utena (3/1) had no trouble beating Nevėžis-Optibet Kėdainiai (0/4) on road. Utena guys went home with a 91:64 win.

The last game of the week didn‘t promise much drama because Žalgiris Kaunas (4/0) went up against M Basket-Delamode Mažeikiai (0/4) in Telšiai. Nevertheless, Žalgiris needed a 28-12 fourth quarter to comeback from trailing double-digits and get another victory, while Mažeikiai team remains in search for their first win.
