Žalgiris pulls off a hard-fought win, underdogs from Prienai and Gargždai stun the favourites

In a thrilling Betsafe-LKL match-up, Žalgiris Kaunas defeated Neptūnas Klaipėda 91-80. Rolands Šmits led the way for the winners with 19 points and 5 assists, while Mindaugas Girdžiūnas scored 20 for the losing side.

Rytas Vilnius dominated Pieno žvaigždės Pasvalys 104-75, with Marcus Foster scoring 22 points for the defending champions. Gytis Masiulis added 17 points and 7 rebounds, while Corey Allen scored 13 points for Pieno žvaigždės in a losing cause.

7bet-Lietkabelis Panevėžys beat Nevėžis-Optibet Kėdainiai 90-77, thanks in large part to Jamel Morris 22 points. Tim Lambrecht had a solid game for Kėdainiai, scoring 19 points. Marius Valinskas and Danielius Lavrinovičius had 18 points each.

CBet Jonava narrowly defeated Šiauliai 84-73, with Dovis Bičkauskis leading all scorers with 21 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds. Paulius Danusevičius put up 19 points as Šiauliai are now in 8th position, 4 victories behind Jonava.

In a stunning upset, the last-placed Labas GAS Prienai defeated the fifth-placed Uniclub Casino - Juventus Utena 90-86. Despite being heavy underdogs, Prienai played with incredible energy and determination, led by Giedrius Bergaudas and Kyan Anderson who scored 16 points apiece.

The struggling Gargždai pulled off a shock victory over the high-flying Wolves, winning 85-82. Joshua Newkirk was the hero, scoring 26 points and dishing 5 assists. Duo of Eigirdas Žukauskas and Eric Buckner each scored 16 points for Wolves, but it was not enough as they suffered a second straight disappointing defeat.
