Rytas survives in finals rematch, five teams are in a tight battle for second place

Žalgiris Kaunas moves to 11-1 in the Betsafe-LKL and confidently sits on top of the table. Team coached by Kazys Maksvytis notched a fourth straight win, beating Pieno žvaigždės Pasvalys 84:61.  Motiejus Krivas and Laurynas Birutis scored 12 points each, Martynas Pacevičius had a game-high 20 points for Pasvalys side.

Rytas Vilnius survived 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevėžys 109:104 in overtime to win last season finals rematch. Marcus Foster delivered 20 points, Gytis Radzevičius and Martynas Echodas added 18 each. Jamel Morris scored 22 points for Panevėžys team. Rytas and four other teams now share 8 victories each.

Uniclub Casino – Juventus Utena got their 8th victory by rocking CBet Jonava 88:78. Justin Alston shined with 28 points and 8 rebounds, Jawun Evans added 15 points and 8 assists. Martin Laksa had 23 points for Jonava team that played without Edvinas Šeškus, Artūras Valeika, Adomas Sidarevičius and Lukas Kreišmontas.

Behind a strong offensive performance, Wolves secured their eighth win 96:82 against Gargždai, tying with the opponents in a fight for second place. Ahmad Caver led a balanced display for Wolves with 20 points and 8 assists. Regimantas Miniotas had 18 points while Arnas Beručka finished with 13.

Šiauliai defeated Labas GAS Prienai 81:63 with a huge contribution from their captain Arminas Urbutis who scored a game-high 18 points. Kyle Mangas added 14 points. Labas GAS produced only two double-digit scorers, Kyan Anderson and Jamil Wilson ending up with 15 and 10 points respectively. 

Mindaugas Girdžiūnas had a career-night, scoring 40 points and leading Neptūnas Klaipėda to a victory 86:79 against Nevėžis-Optibet Kėdainiai. Girdžiūnas exploded for 24 points in a first quarter and shot 7-9 from downtown. Deividas Gailius followed with 11 points, while Arturs Zagars stood out from Kėdainiai with 20.
