The cooperation between Citadele, the general sponsor of Lithuanian basketball league and the titular sponsor of Citadele King Mindaugas Cup (KMT) tournament, will have a new additional direction of partnership. One of the most substantial banks has decided to award 3 scholarships to the most promising graduates of the upcoming, 8th edition of the LKL Academy, which from now on will be called LKL Academy powered by Citadele.

During more than 10 years of operation, Citadele has become a strong bank in the Baltics, playing an important role in the development and implementation of digital financial services for individuals and businesses. As a financial intermediary, the bank aims to contribute to sustainable economic development and provide personal clients and business representatives with the necessary services and solutions that promote a more sustainable lifestyle and the creation of a sustainable business.

"I am excited that Citadele sees this project as a platform that reflects the main values of the organization - innovation, growth and long-term development. In line with this cooperation, we chose the direction of the upcoming LKL Academy powered by Citadele - the interaction and synergy of basketball and business", - said Raminta Valentaitė, head of LKL Academy powered by Citadele.

„The same as our clients – we love basketball and we love challenging competitions, where all superpowers are used to reach the highest goals and excellence. Citadele prolonged a general sponsor partnership agreement with LKL and increased support for Lithuanian basketball teams. In the new season we will support young talents as well, on the way of fulfilling their dreams. Let`s meet in the new season 2022/2023 in the arenas and on TV and let’s support our favourite teams and future stars together,” says Vaidas Žagūnis, Citadele Board Member and Head of Corporate Banking in the Baltics.
