Sintek-Dzukija Advances to Quarter-Finals

Sintek-Dzukija Alytus has won 2nd leg of the King Mindaugas Cup Round 2 and advanced to the Quarter-Finals.

Sintek-Dzukija, coached by 1988 Olympic Champion Valdemaras Chomicius, has beaten Nevezis Kedainiai 82-73 at home court on Tuesday night.

Alytus side has won 1st leg in Kedainiai by 5 points.

Mindaugas Susinskas was the top-scorer for the winners with 17 points, Adrian Bowie added 13 points, Egidijus Dimsa had 11.

Zakhar Vedischev played the game of the season for Nevezis with 21 points, 19 of whom were scored in the last quarter. Nevezis had 25 points gap after three quarters.

Seven out of eight Quarter-Final teams are known. CBet Prienai and BC Siauliai will compete for the last stop in the Quarter-Finals on Wednesday night in Prienai.

The draw for Quarter-Final will be held on Saturday. Top four teams from the last season (Zalgiris Kaunas, Rytas Vilnius, Neptunas Klaipeda and Lietkabelis Panevezys) will be drawn with remaining four teams, three of whom are Sintek-Dzukija Alytus, Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys and Juventus Utena.
