Sintek-Dzukija blew a 21 point lead but escaped with a win
Sintek-Dzukija Alytus could have made a huge step towards King Mindaugas cup quarter-finals. Although, Alytus side blew a 21 point lead against Nevezis Kedainiai and won the first leg of the second round only by four points 75:71.
Visitors ran away at the very beginning of the game with 13:4 run. In the second period Alytus side were leading 49:28.
Although, Nevezis made a run in the beginning of the second half 14:6 and cut their deficit to single digits (47:55).
Nevezis had a great start of the fourth quarter either with 12:4 run, that allowed Kedainiai side to get close to two points (63:65). Nevezis got their first lead of the game with two and a half minutes left to play (68:67) but a better finish of the game allowed Alytus side to escape with a win.
Ex-Nevezis guard Chauncey Collins and Gediminas Zalalis scored 13 points each for the win. Nevezis' captain Arminas Urbutis scored 19 points but could not save his team from the loss.
