Zalgiris finally get one over Neptunas
Fourth time was the charm for Zalgiris, as the green-and-whites finally managed to get one over Neptunas, delighting the fans in Zalgirio Arena with an 80-70 victory. The win ends a year-long drought against the Klaipeda side, as Zalgiris last had them on the ropes in April, 2018.
The result will not have any impact on the final standings, as Zalgiris and Neptunas have already locked in the first and second seeds for the Playoffs, respectively.
Marius Grigonis was the game's top scorer with 17 points to his name for Zalgiris. Brandon Davies dropped 13 in just 15 minutes of action, as Arturas Milaknis added another baker's dozen. Captain Paulius Jankunas added 11, while Deon Thompson finished up with 10.
Osvaldas Olisevicius was the go-to guy for Neptunas, accounting for 16 points. Paulius Dambrauskas and Gytis Masiulis added 10 each, with the latter also doing work under the boards with 8 rebounds.
