Kanter not enough for Dzukija to upset Zalgiris

Zalgiris made it five wins in a row in the Betsafe LKL with a 90-75 victory over Dzukija on the back of some excellent three-point shooting to improve to a 20-2 record.

Leo Westermann paced the winners by connecting on 6-of-7 attempts from beyond the arc for a team-high 20 points, Edgaras Ulanovas had 15 points, while Aaron White added 12 points.

Arturas Mialknis was the only other Zalgiris player in double figures with 10 points, as the whole team combined for 13-of-24 shooting from beyond the arc.

For Dzukija, Kerem Kanter had an incredible 31-point and 8-rebound effort for an efficiency mark of 40. Elijah Brown and Dominykas Domarkas had 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Having been behind just 66-61 at one point in the second half, the Alytus club eventually lost touch, with the Betsafe LKL leaders going on a 13-2 run to decide the game.
