Zalgiris too strong for Skycop in Westermann's debut
Zalgiris marked the return of Leo Westermann with a 74-53 victory against Skycop on the road in Prienai to extend a dominant start to their Betsafe LKL campaign.
The defending champions moved their record to 2-0, joining the also undefeated Rytas and Neptunas at the top of the standings.
Nate Wolters picked up the scoring duties for Zalgiris with a team-high 15 points, Edgaras Ulanovas collected 12 points, while the Westermann pitched in with a 10-point performance.
For the home side, Darjus Lavrinovic and Mike Bruesewitz had 13 points apiece, while Skycop team captain Mindaugas Lukauskis finished the night with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
The defeat saw the Prienai club drop to 1-1.
