Westermann returns to Zalgiris

The long search for a playmaker in Kaunas concluded with Zalgiris bringing back Leo Westermann. The 26-year-old Frenchman signed a one-year deal with an option for an extra season.

Having won the Lithuanian title under coach Sarunas Jasikevicius in 2016-17, Westermann returns to Kaunas after spending the past season with CSKA Moscow.

In his first spell with Zalgiris, the tall French point guard averaged 6,7 points and 3.9 assists in LKL and 8.2 points and 5.5 assists in EuroLeague.
