The defending Betsafe LKL champions Zalgiris continued their off-season work by bringing back former player Marius Grigonis to Kaunas on a three-year deal.

The 24-year-old guard is began his career with club's reserves and finished third in NKL in 2011-12 and 2012-13 before taking his talents abroad. Since then, he has represented teams in Spain and Germany, with ALBA Berlin acting as the latest stop in his career.

"It is great to be coming back home. I feel that I have improved. I try to take a step forward every year. Playing at home, EuroLeague and the great Zalgiris organization were the main reasons behind my decision," Grigonis told Zalgiris TV. "I always had a goal to come back to Zalgiris, so I am really happy now."

Grigonis is also a member of the national team, representing Lithuania at the senior level since the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He also played in the FIBA EuroBasket 2017 and, most recently, in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers.
