Zalgiris down Lietuvos Rytas in Game 3, regain the lead
Zalgiris put their best foot forward in Game 3 of the Betsafe LKL Finals to take a 2-1 lead against Lietuvos Rytas with a 90-80 victory at the Zalgirio Arena in Kaunas on Thursday evening.
The home side broke away after the break, using a 27-19 third quarter to break a 40-40 halftime. Having entered the final frame up 67-59, the Brandon Davies-led Kaunas side kept their cool and sailed away with the win.
Davies was the star of the show with 27 points and 7 rebounds, Edgaras Ulanovas had his back with 15 points, while Aaron White chipped in with 12 points and 7 boards.
Meanwhile, Loukas Mavrokefalidis was the top scorer for Lietuvos Rytas with 19 points, Chris Kramer had 16 points and 6 assists, as the duo of Martynas Echodas and Rokas Giedraitis shared 12 points apiece.
The fourth game of the series will be played at the Siemens Arena in Vilnius on Saturday.
