Echodas named Player of the Week

There were three players from Siauliai in the Team of the Week, but it was Martynas Echodas of Lietuvos Rytas who ultimately earned the weekly MVP honors.

The 20-year-old big man filled the boxscore with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 4 blocks in an 83-76 victory on the road against Vytautas for an overall efficiency of 30.

In terms of efficiency, it was the best game for Echodas in his short Betsafe LKL career. He also set career bests in both of the defensive categories.

The trio of Laurynas Birutis, Nick Zeisloft and Donatas Sabeckis were the reason of a Siauliai-centric lineup, leading to Siauliai to two wins right after the international break.

Having collected 41 points on 12-of-15 attempts from three-point range in a 120-84 victory over Juventus, Nick Zeisloft had the best mark in efficiency this week with 37 but did not get the Player of the Week award due to less impressive game against Neptunas.

Zalgiris forward Edgaras Ulanovas completed the Team of the Week with a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double with 3 steals in a hard-fought 72-63 triumph over Dzukija.
