Lietkabelis takes 1-0 lead in Betsafe-LKL finals, Zalgiris overcomes Siauliai-7bet

Rytas Vilnius started the game leading 19-4 after 7 minutes of action, however, Lietkabelis Panevezys managed to bounce back and get the 77-68 to take 1-0 lead in the Betsafe-LKL final series.

Panagiotis Kalaitzakis saved the day as he led the way after a tough start of the game. Greek banked 16 points and Djordje Gagic added 15. On the opposing side, Margiris Normantas scored 11.

Zalgiris Kaunas struggled against Siauliai-7bet for the first few minutes before getting a 92-75 win for the 1-0 lead in the Betsafe-LKL third-place series. Kazys Maksvytis squad was dealing with the aftershock of the historic elimination in the semifinal against Lietkabelis.

Zalgiris hit 17 of 28 three-pointers as Janis Strelnieks, Tyler Cavanaugh and Artūras Milaknis led the scorers with 14 points each. Lukas Lekavičius followed with 9 points while Giedrius Staniulis stood out from Siauliai-7bet with 17 points and 9 rebounds.
