After a bowing out of the EuroLeague season Zalgiris returned to Betsafe LKL action with an unexpected defeat in Prienai, with Skycop becoming only the second team to beat the defending champions this season. In what turned out to be a surprisingly close game, the hosts managed to overcome an 8-point deficit and defeat the reigning champions 81-76.

While Zalgiris' claim to the top seed still remains unscathed, this was an important win for Skycop, as a 13-20 record pushes them up to the seventh spot in the standings.

Darjus Lavrinovic and Zygimantas Janavicius put up a show for Skycop, as they ended up with 20 points apiece, with the latter also adding 10 assists to the tally. Vytenis Lipkevicius put up 13 points and 7 boards, while Mindaugas Lukauskis finished the game with 9 points to his name.

Thomas Walkup was the go-to guy for Zalgiris, accounting for 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Leo Westermann dropped 15, while Brandon Davies abd Paulius Jankunas ended up with 8 apiece.
