After scoring nearly half of their points in the fourth quarter, the Dainius Adomaitis-coached Rytas registered a 70-52 victory over Neptunas to strengthen their positions in the Betsafe LKL standings.

The club from the capital improved to a 21-6 record in the league table to break the tie with their guests from Klaipeda, who dropped to 20-7 following a road defeat in Vilnius.

Both teams found it difficult to get points on the board all evening long, but Rytas used a 22-4 run in the final stanza to break the game their way, outscoring the visitors 32-12 in the period as a whole.

Eimantas Bendzius was the leading scorer for the home side with 16 points, Artsiom Parakhouski double-doubled with 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Mindaugas Girdziunas netted 12 points.

Neptunas did not have a single player in double figures, with Gytis Masiulis topping the scoring chart with 9 points and 7 rebounds. Paulius Dambrauskas added 8 points and 4 boards.

In the other game of the day, Pieno Zvaigzdes erased a double-digit deficit against Nevezis to come out with a 91-85 victory in Pasvalys, pushing their mark to 16-11.

Dagoberto Pena led the way for the home side with 21 points, Tomas Lekunas scored 15 points, while Yancy Gates converted all seven of his field goals for 14 points in 19 minutes of action.
