Peiners named Betsafe LKL Player of the Week

After impressive individual performances in back-to-back games, Latvia international Zanis Peiners picked up the Betsafe LKL Player of the Week award.

The 27-year-old Lietkabelis swingman averaged 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in the two contests, as the Panevezys side thrashed Dzukija 96-79 but ended up on the wrong side of a 99-87 upset against Nevezis.

Dovis Bickauskas of Juventus was statistically the most efficient player in the league last week, averaging 14.5 points and 12.0 assists per game but his side suffered a couple of defeats against Lietuvos Rytas and Pieno Zvaigzdes.

James Woodard of Nevezis, Vyacheslav Bobrov of Pieno Zvaigzdes and Laurynas Birutis rounded out the Betsafe LKL Team of the Week.
