After an unexpectedly successful run in the SIL-King Mindaugas Cup, Dzukija transferred their positive momentum to the Betsafe LKL with a 98-73 victory against Lietkabelis.
The eighth-placed Alytus side blew out their opponents from the top half of the table and improved to an 8-17 record. It puts them just one game behind the likes of Pieno Zvaigzdes and Juventus.
Anatoly Kashirov was simply phenomenal for Alar Varrak's side with a season-high 25 points and Gediminas Navickas added 13 points. Meanwhile, the trio of Paulius Petrilevicius, Parrish Petty and Alan Wiggins collected 11 points each.
For Lietkabelis, who stayed in fourth place despite dropping to a 16-9 mark, Zanis Peiners had a team-high 12 points, with Ksistof Lavrinovic adding 11 points.
