"The victory gives us extra motivation. I hope we can continue playing like this and climb higher. We always lacked a component of luck and I hope that luck came to our side now."

Having registered his highest scoring game in the league since 2015, Linkevicius still put the emphasis on team success and the fact that Vytautas registered a 101-80 win over Pieno Zvaigzdes, their first victory this season.

"The most important thing is that we were able get the win, but of course it's also nice to get the individual award," said Linkevicius after ending a nine-game losing streak.

"The victory gives us extra motivation. I hope we can continue playing like this and climb higher. We always lacked a component of luck and I hope that luck came to our side now."
