There was no match for Alejandro Hernandez in the race for the Betsafe LKL Player of the Week honors, with the Spanish playmaker claiming the award after recording an impressive double-double in a big road win against Siauliai.

The 27-year-old Spanish playmaker was just one assists shy of equaling the league's all-time assists record in a 16-point and 17-assist game on Sunday evening, as Dzukija picked up a 105-84 victory.

"It is the first time that I become the weekly MVP," said Hernandez. "It was a very important game for us and we played it really well. We prepared for the trip to Siauliai the whole week and we were ready to win. Of course, it is not easy to collect 17 assists, but it's a team result. We played fast on offense and took advantage of opponent mistakes on defense."

The guard set a new league season-high efficiency ranking of 37, topping the rest of the players on the Team of the Week by a wide margin.

Gary Talton had his best performance of the season for Lietkabelis with 20 points and 9 assists against Zalgiris, as Neptunas all-rounder Arnas Butkevicius posted another versatile performance with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 7 steals and 3 blocks.

Elsewhere, Valerii Likhodei of Nevezis paced the Kedainiai side to an upset over Lietuvos Rytas with 20 points and 7 rebounds, while Zalgiris big man Antanas Kavaliauskas went 7-of-7 form the field for a team-high 19 points in a win over the previously undefeated Lietkabelis.
