The Virginijus Seskus-coached Skycop put their five-game slide in the Betsafe LKL to a stop by surviving a double overtime drama against the visiting Nevezis in Prienai.
Despite wasting a 21-point advantage, the Prienai club managed to snatch a much-needed 96-93 win after Vytenis Lipkevicius knocked down a clutch go-ahead triple in the final minute of the second extra period.
Michael Bruesewitz had his fingerprints all over the victory with team-highs of 21 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists, while Ovidijus Varanauskas and Anthony Lee collected 20 and 19 points, respectively.
On the other side of the floor, Adonte Parker collected a game-high 26 points for Nevezis, Gabrielius Maldunas scored 22 points, while Regimantas Miniotas double-doubed with 14 points and 17 boards.
Following the result, Skycop climbed to 5-10 in the league table, while Nevezis dropped to a league-worst 2-13.
In the other game of the day, Pieno Zvaigzdes erased a 16-point deficit in Alytus to defeat Dzukija 86-77, moving to fifth place with a 7-8 record.
After getting off to a dream start in the first half, the home side fell off a cliff after the intermission, with the visitors from Pasvalys getting themselves back in the fold thanks to a well-rounded team effort.
Pieno Zvaigzdes had six players in double figures, with Zygimantas Skucas topping the list with a team-high 14 points. Gytis Sirutavicius scored 13 points, the trio of Tomas Lekunas, Vytautas Sulskis and Yannick Franke had 12 points apiece, while Jay Threatt chipped in with 10.
Meanwhile, Kendrick Brown and Egidijus Dimsa collected 16 points apiece for Dzukija, who dropped to 5-9 after losing their third game in a row.
