Neptunas outdueled Lietkabelis for third place in the Betsafe LKL, closing out the series 3-1 after celebrating an 89-78 victory in Game 4 in Panevezys on Sunday night.

The club from Klaipeda won bronze in the domestic championship for the first time since the 2012-13 season. In the meantime, they had two second-place finishes, in 2013-14 and 2015-16.

Edgaras Zelionis was the man who stepped up for Neptunas in the medal-clinching victory with 27 points, Tomas Delininkaitis collected 17 points after going 5-of-6 from three-point range, while Jerry Johnson added 12 points.

For last year’s runners-up Lietkabelis, Lorenzo Williams had a team-high 17 points, while Darjus and Ksistof Lavrinovic had 13 and 11 points, respectively.
