Dzukija registered their second victory in a row in the Betsafe LKL after overpowering Vytautas 82-79 in Alytus on Monday, which allowed them to move to seventh place in the league table with a 9-17 record.

Having led comfortably throughout the contest, the hosts saw their lead, once as big as 66-46, vanish, with the visitors from Prienai-Birstonas making it a one-possession game down the stretch.

Gediminas Zalalis was the top scorer for Dzukija with 16 points, but point guard Parrish Petty was once again the most influential player on the floor for the Alytus club with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals next to his name in the boxscore.

Nikolaos Stylianou also had 15 points, with Alan Wiggins chipping in with 12 points, 6 boards and 2 steals.

For Vytautas, team captain Eigirdas Zukauskas had a 21-point and 11-rebound doube-double, LiAngelo Ball added 14 points and 7 rebounds, while Justas Sinica and Tomas Dimsa finished with 10 points apiece.

Still injured, LaMelo Ball did not play.

Vytautas are currently situated at the bottom of the standings with a 5-21 record.
